Google pushed out Gemini 3.8 Flash on September 2, 2026, keeping the same 1,048,576 token context window and 65,536 token output ceiling as 3.7 Flash while posting solid gains on software engineering, agentic, and multi-step reasoning benchmarks. Introductory pricing holds at $0.75 per million input tokens and $3.75 per million output tokens through the end of 2026, after which it doubles to $1.50 and $7.50.

Alongside it, Google released Gemini 3.8 Flash Cyber, a locked-down variant tuned for vulnerability discovery and patching, available only to vetted defenders through the new Fairwind Program rather than the general API.
