Qwen-Image-3.0

Alibaba announced Qwen-Image-3.0 on July 21, 2026 with invite-only access, then opened it fully on August 5. The third generation of Alibaba’s image line, it is built around accepting much longer instructions than its predecessor, up to roughly 4,500 tokens versus about 1,000 for Qwen-Image 2.0, so it can compose dense, information-heavy layouts like infographics, slide decks, and UI mockups in a single pass. It also renders small text accurately down to about 10 pixels across a dozen languages, an area where earlier image models tended to produce garbled or illegible characters.

Unlike prior Qwen-Image releases, Alibaba launched this one without publishing benchmark scores, a model card, or a technical report, positioning it more as a working tool for practical layout tasks than a research showcase. It’s priced like a utility rather than a premium art product: roughly $0.03 per image on the Standard tier and $0.04 to $0.075 on Pro depending on output resolution, available through Alibaba Cloud Bailian and Qwen Chat.
