AccuWeather provides weather forecasts for locations around the world. Its app and website show current conditions, hourly and 10-day forecasts, radar and satellite maps, and alerts for severe weather. A signature feature is MinuteCast, which predicts when rain or snow will start and stop at your exact location. Longer-range outlooks give a general sense of the weeks ahead, and features such as air quality and pollen cover health-related conditions.

For businesses, AccuWeather sells data and APIs that power weather information in other apps, media, retailers, utilities, and logistics. Meteorologists combine models, observations, and machine learning to produce its forecasts, and the company has developed AI tools for short-term forecasting and for delivering personalized alerts and impact information, such as how weather might affect travel or operations.

The consumer app is free with ads, and a paid subscription removes ads and adds features. Forecast accuracy varies by location and timeframe, and long-range forecasts are less reliable than short-range ones. Apps and services compete on presentation as much as underlying data, since many use similar weather models. Alternatives include The Weather Channel, Apple Weather, Google’s weather, Windy for detailed model data, and national weather services such as the U.S. National Weather Service.
