Atomwise is a drug discovery company that uses deep learning to predict how small molecules will bind to protein targets. Pharmaceutical and biotech companies partner with it to screen billions of compounds virtually before running physical experiments, narrowing the search for drug candidates from an enormous chemical space down to a tractable shortlist. The AtomNet model was trained on millions of protein-ligand interactions from publicly available structural data.
