Google Stitch
Google Labs tool that turns prompts into UI designs and front-end code
Stitch is designed to get from an idea to an interface quickly. You describe an app screen or a website, upload a sketch or screenshot, and Stitch generates a designed layout with components, colors, and text, which you can modify through further prompts or by editing directly. It can produce multiple variations, so you can explore directions before settling on one.
Output is meant to be practical. Designs can be pasted into Figma for further work by designers, or exported as front-end code, such as HTML and CSS, to give developers a starting point. The tool incorporates technology from Galileo AI, which Google acquired, and runs on Gemini models, with experimental features that improve over time.
Stitch is available free through Google Labs, with usage limits, and as an experiment its features and availability may change. Generated designs can look generic and may not follow your design system, so designers refine them. Alternatives include Figma Make and First Draft, Uizard, Claude Design, v0, Lovable, and Framer’s AI wireframer. Stitch suits founders, product managers, and designers who want a quick first draft of an interface.
