Hatchful is Shopify's free logo maker. No subscription, no watermarks, no paid upgrade to unlock the good stuff. Anyone can use it, download the files, and walk away without entering a credit card. The whole thing takes under five minutes. You pick where the logo will be used (online store, social media, print), choose an industry, select a handful of style directions like bold, minimalistic, or hipster, type in your business name and an optional slogan, and then browse generated options. Hatchful has over 13,000 design combinations across 17 style categories. Once you land on something close, a basic editor lets you tweak fonts, colours, and layout before downloading. What you get in the zip: a standard logo, a transparent background version, a favicon, and pre-sized files for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Twitter, and YouTube. All PNGs. That last part matters, because Hatchful does not export SVG or any vector format. If you later need the logo on a banner, a sign, or embroidered on a jacket, you will have to either recreate it in a vector tool or pay someone to trace it. That limitation tells you who this is actually for. A sole trader testing a business idea, or a Shopify store owner who needs something on the page before launch day, will get through fine. Someone building a brand they plan to use at scale, across print and merchandise and packaging, will eventually hit the wall.
