OpenClaw is an open-source agent project that can carry out tasks on a user’s computer and accounts, which made it popular and also raised security worries. NemoClaw is NVIDIA’s response for organizations: it installs OpenClaw inside an isolated runtime, called OpenShell, with strict default permissions, so the agent can only touch what administrators allow. A privacy router helps decide which requests can use outside models and which stay local.

NVIDIA pairs the platform with its Nemotron models and with its NeMo software for building and managing agents, but says NemoClaw works on different hardware and with other models. It was announced with a group of enterprise partners and early integrations with agent frameworks, positioning NVIDIA to offer software as well as chips for the agent era.

NemoClaw is free and open source, and was described as an early-stage release, so teams should treat it as something to pilot, not a finished product. Running agents still needs careful governance. Alternatives include OpenAI’s enterprise agent platform, Microsoft Copilot Studio, Salesforce Agentforce, Amazon Bedrock AgentCore, and Claude’s enterprise agent features. NemoClaw suits companies exploring open, controllable agent infrastructure.
