// about NVIDIA Open Agent Safety Platform

NVIDIA announced this platform on September 28, 2026, pairing its existing OpenShell access-control software with Sentry, a new monitoring layer that runs on BlueField-4 DPUs independently of the agent's own CPU or GPU. That separation lets Sentry stop an agent from escaping its sandbox or bypassing guardrails even if the agent itself is compromised. Anthropic, Arm, Microsoft, Oracle, and SpaceX are backing the platform; OpenAI has not signed on. The launch follows an AI agent breach of Hugging Face in August 2026.
