Yousician
Music learning app that listens to you play and gives feedback
Yousician is a music practice app for guitar, bass, piano, ukulele, and singing. Lessons are structured as short exercises and songs, and the app listens to you play through your phone, tablet, or computer microphone. It scores your accuracy and timing as you go, so you get feedback without a teacher in the room.
That listening feature is the main draw for beginners and for experienced players who want a practice routine with measurable progress. Content ranges from first lessons to songs and technique work, and the app tracks your progress over time.
There is no permanent free plan, only a free trial of the premium tier, so you subscribe to keep using it. Music teachers sometimes use Yousician to give students practice between lessons. It does not replace a teacher for technique and musicality, but it works as a patient practice partner.
